Meet Boyd, one of four puppies in ARK’s Braveheart Litter—two girls and two boys. He is a handsome little fellow with a sweet expression and an affectionate, playful nature.
His foster mum describes Boyd as an affectionate and playful puppy. He enjoys attention, loves being involved and is already showing the happy, people-focused personality that should make him a wonderful family companion.
Boyd’s dad is a Wolfhound/Border Collie mix and his mum is a German Shepherd mix. Photos of both parents are included in his profile.
FUN FACT: Boyd is a Scottish name meaning “fair-haired” or “yellow-haired.” It is a strong traditional name for this charming little Braveheart.
With working and guardian breeds in his background, Boyd is likely to grow into an intelligent, loyal and affectionate dog. Border Collies and German Shepherds are known for being highly trainable and responsive to their people, while the Wolfhound influence may contribute size, gentleness and a more easygoing nature. As with any mixed-breed puppy, his eventual size and appearance cannot be predicted with certainty, but adopters should be prepared for him to become a medium-to-large dog.
Boyd will need a home committed to continuing his training and socialisation from the beginning. He would benefit from kind, consistent guidance, regular mental stimulation and plenty of age-appropriate exercise as he grows.
His ideal home will have secure fencing, indoor access and people who want to include him in everyday family life. Boyd will thrive where he receives companionship, structure, playtime and the opportunity to grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog.
Boyd will be ready to leave for his new home on 21 July 2026.
The cost of Boyd’s future desexing is included in his adoption fee under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program, subject to the program’s terms and conditions.
