Every rescue cat has a story, and Benedict's is one of incredible progress, patience, and hope.
When Benedict first came into care, he was a truly frightened cat who had never learned that people could be kind. The world was a scary place, and trusting humans simply wasn't part of his life.
Fast forward to today, and Benedict has made remarkable strides. With patience, consistency, and the dedication of his foster carers, he has learned to feel safe around them and has formed a trusting bond with both his foster carer and her partner. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and it's clear that beneath his cautious exterior is a gentle soul who simply needed someone to believe in him.
Now it's time for Benedict to take the next step on his journey.
We believe Benedict would thrive in a calm, patient home where his new family understands that trust isn't rushedāit's earned. He may not be the cat who jumps into your lap on day one, but every small milestone will be incredibly meaningful, and the bond you'll build together will be unlike any other.
Benedict would suit a quiet household with adopters who are happy to let him settle in at his own pace, allowing him the time and space to continue building confidence.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitmentāboth emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. Weāll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, weād love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, weāll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isnāt the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
