Cheeky, confident and incredibly charming, Ollie is ready to find his forever family!

When Ollie first arrived in foster care, the world was a very scary place. Having had very little exposure to everyday life, he was understandably unsure of people and unfamiliar situations. Fast forward to today, and the transformation has been nothing short of remarkable.

Ollie has discovered just how wonderful life can be, and his cheeky personality now shines through every day. He’s an affectionate little boy who absolutely adores his people and loves nothing more than curling up beside you on the couch for cuddles, tummy rubs and tickles. If he’s ready for a nap, he’ll happily let you know it’s time to snuggle in together.

Food is definitely one of Ollie’s favourite things! He knows exactly when mealtime is, takes treats politely, and is always keen to be involved in whatever you’re doing—especially if there’s a snack involved.

He’s become a wonderful walking companion. Ollie loves heading out on his lead, enjoys meeting other friendly dogs one-on-one, and takes in the sights and smells with growing confidence. While he hasn’t been introduced to busy dog parks or off-lead play, we think that with time, patience and sensible introductions, he’d enjoy supervised play with suitable canine friends.

Ollie has integrated beautifully with his foster siblings, but if you ask him, he’d happily tell you his favourite companion is his foster mum! Because of this, we believe he’d thrive either with another friendly dog or as an only dog, provided he has plenty of love, companionship and someone around to enjoy life with.

Like many dogs who missed out on early socialisation, Ollie will occasionally give a little grumble if something makes him uncomfortable. These moments are now few and far between, and he responds quickly to gentle guidance before usually coming back for a reassuring cuddle (and often a little apology lick!). His forever family simply needs to understand that he’s communicating rather than being naughty.

Ollie is also a little vocal at times, which is likely just part of his charming breed personality, but it’s all part of what makes him such an entertaining little companion.

He’s making excellent progress with his toilet training and would likely master it completely with the help of a doggy door, as he’s a clever little boy who learns quickly.

One of the loveliest things about Ollie is watching his confidence continue to grow. Recently he enjoyed playing with another dog during a neighbourhood gathering, happily met unfamiliar adults, and when he’d had enough excitement, he simply climbed onto his foster mum’s lap for a cuddle. It’s moments like these that show just how far this special little dog has come.
