About Dustmite
š¾ Meet Dustmite ā The Fetch Champion with a Heart of Gold š¾
If you're looking for a cat with a huge personality, endless confidence, and enough charm to keep you smiling every day, Dustmite is ready to meet you.
Dustmite is the definition of a social butterfly. Whether you're family, a friend, or someone he's only just met, he'll likely be the first to come over and say hello. Curious, outgoing, and incredibly friendly, he loves being involved in everything that's happening and is always ready to turn a quiet moment into playtime.
His favourite pastime? Fetch! That's right ā Dustmite has mastered the art of retrieving his toys and will happily bring back bouncy balls, rattle balls, and other small toys for you to throw again and again. If you're willing to keep playing, Dustmite is more than happy to keep the game going. He also has a knack for turning just about anything into a toy, making him a wonderfully entertaining companion.
When he's not racing around the house, Dustmite is an affectionate cuddle bug. He adores being picked up and carried, especially perched proudly on your shoulder where he can supervise the world from above. He's wonderfully tolerant, easy-going, and takes cuddles, pats, and being handled completely in his stride.
Dustmite also enjoys the company of his feline foster friends, spending his days grooming, playing, and snoozing alongside them. While he can initially be a little vocal and uncertain when meeting unfamiliar cats, he's all bluff and no bravado. Given slow, thoughtful introductions, we believe he would settle well into a home with another friendly cat.
There is just one thing you should know⦠Dustmite is a dedicated foodie! If food is left unattended, he'll consider it fair game. Expect him to investigate your dinner, supervise every meal, and use every bit of determination and creativity to convince you that whatever you're eating should really belong to him. His cheeky antics are all part of his irresistible personality.
Dustmite would thrive in a home where he has plenty of interaction, playtime, and people who enjoy an affectionate, entertaining companion. If you're after a cat who greets everyone like an old friend, plays fetch like a pro, and fills your home with laughter, purrs, and endless affection, Dustmite could be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitmentāboth emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. Weāll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, weād love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, weāll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isnāt the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
