Meet Josie 🐾 Equal parts playful and cuddly, Jo Jo is looking for a family to adore.

Josie is a beautiful, affectionate girl with a heart full of love. Fondly known as “Jo Jo,” she’s happiest when she’s close to her people, whether that’s enjoying cuddles on the couch, snuggling up after a walk, or simply being part of the family’s daily life. She has a playful side too and loves chasing and playing with other dogs, fetching a ball, and, if you’re looking for the way to her heart, a tasty sardine is hard to beat!

Josie is incredibly clever and eager to please. She learns quickly, responds beautifully to treats, praise and positive training, and already knows how to sit and drop, with “stay” well on its way. She’s also completely house trained and politely takes herself out to the garden when nature calls – a true little lady.

While Josie can be a little unsure of unfamiliar people or dogs passing by the house, she warms up very quickly once she’s had a proper introduction. She’s wonderful with children and would make a fantastic addition to a family or couple who can include her in their everyday lives. More than anything, Josie is looking for a home where she’ll be loved and included. She forms strong bonds with her people and would thrive with a family who have the time and companionship she craves, as she doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
