At first, Toby didn't quite know what to make of life in the cattery or the humans that came to visit. Shy, reserved, and quite a bit bigger than all the other cats there, he found it hard to make friends despite his gentle nature. On top of his social awkwardness, there simply wasn't a bed large or round enough to accomodate his rotund form

Slowly, with the help of his humans and the arrival of his BFF Ginger a few years later, Toby came out of his shell and learned to love kisses, cuddles, and a nice warm lap to plant himself in. Is that a nice spot of sunshine? A heated blanket? SHOTGUN!

💛GINGER (7, F, DLH)
Ginger arrived with 5 newborn kittens when she was just a youngling herself. While her kittens all found loving homes, Ginger remained in the cattery struggling to trust the world after a rough beginning to life. Luckily, there was Toby! Toby knew that struggle all too well, and with his gentle nature and kind eyes he gave Ginger a sense of comfort she hadn't yet found.

Over time, Ginger grew both in confidence and fluff until she became the unapologetic queen that she is today. Has she thrown hands with every other cat in the cattery? Yes, but not her Toby. Take a peek in the early morning chill and find them cuddling on the lounge together. By late afternoon, you'll spot Ginger by the window watchig the lizards run by while Toby hangs around off to the side.
