Panda is every bit the beautiful Ragdoll—graceful, elegant and full of personality. Like many Ragdolls, she enjoys companionship, but she also likes to decide when and how that affection is shared. She isn't the type to fall head over heels the moment you meet her, and that's perfectly okay.
In fact, Panda has a rather unique way of introducing herself. She'll often greet new people with a little hiss. Don't take it personally—it's simply her way of saying she'd like a bit of space while she works out whether you're trustworthy. Give her the time she asks for, and you'll soon discover there's a lovely cat behind that cautious first impression.
Panda will need a peaceful home where she can settle at her own pace, explore her surroundings, and claim her favourite sunny spots (and probably a few backups too!). Once she feels safe, she becomes a devoted companion who loves nothing more than sitting beside—or on—the person she trusts.
This gorgeous girl is looking for a very specific forever home: a quiet, calm, indoor-only environment with no children or canines. Panda has zero tolerance for the hustle and bustle that children bring, so an adult-only home is essential. She forms a strong bond with her chosen person and will thrive with someone who understands that trust isn't rushed—it is earned.
If you're patient, respectful of her boundaries, and looking for a loyal one-on-one companion, Panda will reward you with quiet companionship and the privilege of being her favourite person.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
