Top Deck is a strikingly handsome British Shorthair with a big personality to match his impressive good looks. He's a gentleman who knows exactly what he likes (and what he doesn't!), making him the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a cat with confidence and character.
Top Deck prefers to keep all four paws firmly on the ground and isn't a fan of being picked up. That's okay though—he's more than happy to show his affection by sitting beside you or curling up on your lap when the mood strikes. He enjoys companionship on his own terms and loves being close to his favourite people.
When he's not relaxing, Top Deck is all about fun! He loves playtime and is always keen to chase a toy, and he's equally enthusiastic when it comes to food. In fact, Top Deck has never quite mastered the idea that human food isn't always safe for cats. If it's left unattended, he'll happily help himself! Because of this, he'll need a home where benches are kept clear and the kitchen is kept tidy to ensure he stays safe and healthy.
Top Deck is looking for a home that understands and respects his boundaries while embracing his cheeky, lovable personality. In return, you'll gain a loyal, entertaining companion who will keep you smiling every single day.
He'd be best suited to an adult indoor only home or one with older, cat-savvy children who will respect his preferences and let him enjoy affection on his own terms.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
