About Waffles
Introducing Waffles!
Waffles is a Mini Dachshund born 2nd May 2022.
Waffles & eight other Dachies have come into us from a hoarding situation. This was a joint operation with us and another rescue, where over 20 dogs were removed from the property. The four males were transferred to another rescue group for rehoming & we're happy to say we've already found homes for three of the girls, but sweet Waffles & Willow are still on the hunt for their perfect homes.
Since being at the facility, Waffles has been an absolute angel to care for. She's incredibly friendly with humans, calm & quiet and just an all-round sweetheart.
Waffles tested quite well with other dogs & was surprisingly unfazed when our boisterous Husky screamed in her face. While Waffles could learn to be the "spoilt" only child at home, we feel that Waffles would be more comfortable living with at least one other dog as she's only ever known life with multiple other dogs at home. If you have a friendly dog we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home. Alternatively, she can be rehomed with Willow the Dachshund who has come from the same household as Waffles.
Waffles has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Waffles has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility. Please note that Waffles has only been tested with separation anxiety while she is in the company of other dogs, so she may show signs of separation anxiety if left completely alone.
Waffles would love to be adopted to a family where she is included as a member of the family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Waffles, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900272 to organise a meet and greet.
Waffles’ adoption fee is $850, and this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Waffles is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Waffles is currently located in East Maitland.

No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
