This handsome young man is a clever boy with a striking harlequin coat that's every bit as unique as his personality. Lincoln is a real people dog and can be quite the velcro companion — happiest when he's included in whatever you're doing and right there beside his favourite people.
He's already making fantastic progress with his training. Lincoln knows how to sit and patiently wait for his meals, has an excellent recall and is learning all those important basics. His house training is also going really well. He's incredibly eager to please, which makes him a rewarding dog to train and continue learning with.
Lincoln would love to have another doggy friend in his new home, preferably an older, confident dog who can show him the ropes and help him learn the ways of the world. He's a social boy and would benefit from having a good canine role model around.
And then there's his fun side! Lincoln absolutely loves a good zoomie and can really turn on the speed when he's having fun. 😂 For this reason, he would be best suited to children who are late primary school age or older, who can appreciate his enthusiasm without being overwhelmed by it.
But don't let those zoomies fool you — Lincoln does know how to switch off. Once playtime is over, he's quite happy to settle down with his people and enjoy some quiet time.
When he's not racing around or showing off his good manners, Lincoln loves entertaining himself with his favourite toys or simply hanging out with his people. He's an affectionate, fun-loving boy who really enjoys being part of the family.
Lincoln would thrive in an experienced home that understands intelligent working-breed dogs and is prepared to continue his training while providing plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He needs a family who will involve him, challenge him and make him part of their everyday life.
In return, you'll have a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side.

Interstate Adoptions
ARK welcomes interstate adoption applications. Our volunteers are happy to explain the available transport options, obtain quotes and assist with making the necessary travel arrangements to help your new dog reach you safely and comfortably.

Heartworm Information
Heartworm disease is uncommon in the Southern Downs, so ARK does not routinely heartworm test or administer heartworm prevention to dogs in our care. Should a successful applicant wish to have a heartworm test performed before adoption, we are happy to arrange this.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
