As much as we love this boy Henri we feel it is in his best interest to start searching for his forever family.
Henri is a Bull Arab x that is 7 months old and currently weighs 23 kg. Henri came into our care via a vet clinic under duty of care.
Henri is a soft, pliable young lad, who has a personality to die for.
This boy has a few things going on and requires a VERY SPECIAL home. Henri has had his rear leg amputated due to an injury, but is adapting to this extremely well. He has started to play and try to do zoomies 😵💫😵💫. Henri has had his stitches removed and the wound is healing nicely.
We have found that Henri also has limited to no hearing although he has started to master some hand signals and likes to check in with his human regularly.
We have observed that Henri does like to lay under thing's like tables, clothes horse etc and we believe it is a self protection mode due to his lack of hearing. Henri also loves to go between your legs ... as he feels more secure.
Walking on lead is tricky, as Henri requires quite a pace to get his hopping into a rhythm. Henri is crate trained and happily sleeps in one at night. He is also house trained ... but does need to get his bearings and may have an accident or two while he settles into a new environment and routine.
Due to his recovery period Henri has not been socialised directly with other dogs but he has been around them (separated) and has not been phased at all. Going forward it will be important to ensure Henri is socialised with other dogs whilst being mindful of his physical limitations.
Henri will need further exposure to cats - had limited contact when in a crate recovering from his surgery. Henri needs to be an indoor /outdoor home.
Henri has been flea and wormed, been desexed, microchipped and had his first vaccination. Henri will need a booster at the end of July 2026.
Henri's adoption fee is $900.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
