My Ideal Home:
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family
• I have previously lived with young children.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• Training, training, training — it’s essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.

Dog Compatibility:
• I’d love a friendly dog playmate — or, if I’m your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.

Cat / small animal:
• • With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I may be able to live with a dog friendly cat.

My Paw-some Perks:
• I’m highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I’m gentle and placid in nature, and I’ve had some basic obedience training — I’m generally a well-mannered dog. I know my basic commands like sit, and come, and I’m always eager to learn more.
• I walk nicely on lead, and with daily walks I’ll only keep improving.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches.
• I’m clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who’ll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.

Training:
• I haven’t had any formal training yet, so I’ll need help with all my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food, which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• I can be a little bouncy when excited, but consistent training will help me learn calmer behaviours.


Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Tucker if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
