Tolkien is gentle boy with a lot of love to give.

He is shy with new people and is looking for someone patient and compassionate willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle in and build trust at his own pace. When you first meet Tolkien, he will decompress and quietly observe from a cozy hiding spot. Given ample space and time he will venture out on his own, quietly explore and get to know you. Slowly but surely he can be won over with patience and tasty treats. You'll find that he's more active at night time initially, but he will start emerging more throughout the day as his confidence builds.

Behind his seemingly timid nature is a very brave boy who enjoys playing with other feline friends - having a confident feline companion or two around does wonders to bring out his playful side! Slow introductions work best, so he knows everyone is going to be nice to him.

Tolkien would love a calm home where he can slowly gain confidence and feel safe, and become part of the family.
