About Kumquat
Meet Kumquat 🍊
Sweet, sunny and just the right amount of zesty, Kumquat is a confident girl who knows how to make herself at home.
She settled quickly into foster care with her loving family and is comfortable meeting new people. She is playful, curious and loves batting small toys around, particularly when they skitter across the floor at just the right speed. Her cat tower is another favourite spot, where she can stretch out and soak up the sunshine.
Kumquat is happy entertaining herself and manages well when her family is out during the day. She is generally a quiet and well-behaved housemate, although mealtimes are taken very seriously. If dinner is running late, she will enthusiastically remind you of the schedule!
She is not a lap cat, but her affectionate side is continuing to blossom. Kumquat enjoys short sessions of pats before settling comfortably nearby, and she may even sleep at the foot of the bed so she can keep you company without compromising her independence.
Although she is not currently living with other animals, her playful and confident nature suggests she may enjoy having a compatible furry playmate with a careful introduction. She has also been relaxed when children of different ages have visited her foster home.
Because Kumquat is living in foster care, we have had the opportunity to learn about her personality, routines and needs in a home environment. SAFE does not have a shelter to visit, but that does not stop you from adopting. Simply send in an adoption application and we can arrange an easy meet and greet with Kumquat and her foster family.
