Meet Sylvester Stallone
Like his famous namesake, Sylvester Stallone has shown plenty of resilience. After living as a stray, he came into RSPCA care with a serious tail injury that required amputation. Since his surgery, he's been recovering well and slowly learning that people can be kind.
Sylvester is a very nervous boy who needs a calm, patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace. He's started accepting gentle attention from our team, but he'll need time to learn to trust and feel safe.
A quiet adult home would suit him best, although gentle, cat-savvy teenagers may also be considered. If you can give this brave boy the patience and understanding he deserves, you'll have the privilege of watching him come out of his shell and thrive.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
