About Rosalie
At 8 years young, Dorothy is a beautiful, mature lady who is looking for a quiet sanctuary to call her own. Unlike some of our more boisterous shelter residents, Dorothy is a sensitive soul who finds the big, loud world a little bit daunting right now.
Coming into a shelter environment can be incredibly overwhelming for a cat like Dorothy, and she is currently feeling quite scared and unsure of her surroundings. She spends most of her days tucked away in a safe, cozy hiding spot, observing everything from a careful distance. Because she is a bit of a wallflower, she is looking for an understanding, patient adopter who will let her settle in at her own pace and won't rush her out of her shell.
Deep down, Dorothy has a sweet and gentle nature just waiting to bloom. In a calm, adult-only home with no resident pets and plenty of predictability, her confidence will grow. With time, soft words, and perhaps a few tasty treats, she will eventually realize she is safe and secure.
Dorothy is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to her - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
