More about Penny:
Penny is a friendly, affectionate and energetic young dog with a fun-loving personality. She enjoys meeting new people and is always happy to make new friends. She can be vocal if she hears unfamiliar noises or people she can't see, making her an alert companion around the home.
She loves toys, particularly balls, and is always eager for a game. She has an enthusiastic approach to play and enjoys any opportunity to burn off some energy.
Penny is toilet trained, crate trained, confidently uses a dog door and knows her basic obedience commands. She enjoys going for walks, travels well in the car and loves spending time with her people. She is a very affectionate dog who enjoys cuddles and being included in family life.
As an excitable and physically strong dog, Penny can become bouncy when she's happy and would be best suited to a home with older children who won't be accidentally knocked over during her enthusiastic greetings.
Penny is social with other dogs and particularly enjoys the company of dogs similar in size and energy level. She can become over-excited when meeting smaller dogs, so calm, gradual introductions are recommended.
Penny does not cope well with being left alone for extended periods and can become destructive if bored or anxious. For this reason, she would be best suited to a home where someone works from home, has a flexible schedule, or can provide her with plenty of companionship and enrichment throughout the day while continuing to build her confidence with short periods of alone time.
Penny has not been tested with cats.
