Introducing Rico!

This little fluffball has had a difficult time in the shelter, he's found new people to be a little scary, and the stressful environment to be quite overwhelming. But finally, after spending some time here getting ready for adoption, he's ready to find his forever home!

Rico would be best suited to a quiet home, with secondary school-aged children or adults only who can be respectful of his needs and understand when he needs some space to himself to feel comfortable. In the shelter, we've seen that with time and gentle encouragement, he'll become your best friend in no time.

Rico would do best as the only dog in his new home, as he's shown us that he's not the biggest fan of interactions with other animals. This may be something that he can work on in the future, but for the meantime, his adopters will need to commit to helping him ignore dogs to feel more confident while out on walks.

This sensitive guy may need a little extra work to be able to live a normal life, but with patience, love, and a little encouragement, Rico will become your best friend in no time!
