About Violet
My name is Violet, I am a female Dachshund cross
I am a sweet, loving and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than being with my humans. I am pretty good at being your little shadow and I love to snuggle up and burrow under cushions and blankets. (And your doona if you will let me.) I will quickly warm to you as l did with my foster carer and settle-in in just a couple of
days. I can guarantee that once we know each other, we will be the best of friends.
However, I am still a little timid around sudden loud noises such as dropping cutlery and other items on timber floors and sometimes from loud cars. I would thrive in a home where people are around most of the time and would love to become part of your family’s life. I have been left alone for short periods of time by myself and up to 6 hours with my other foster companions. l am ok but of course I would rather be with you.
I love my foster pals and we all get along great. I do not guard my food, but I will push in for treats and the best spot on the bed.,
I do jump up when l am excited and I still like my personal space at times. I would suit a home with older children. I am currently living with three other dogs and would suit being with other doggie companions.
I am learning to walk on lead but still like to sniff new smells as I go along. I am getting used to my new name but in the meantime have limited recall and will need some ongoing training, but I am improving every day. I love to run when in safe unleashed areas.
I am treat-orientated and absolutely love my duck fillets and fresh wing tips. I am toilet trained but can occasionally have accidents especially when I am feeling excited/anxious or overwhelmed. I am very proficient at using doggie doors and must have access inside the house and a secure yard area.
I would be a wonderful companion, to share in your adventures and curling up on the couch next to you on cold winter nights.
If you would like to mee me, please send an informative email about yourself, family and lifestyle so that my carer can see if you and I are a good match. The email is: sasrescue@gmail.com
