Zara is a beautiful, soft and fluffy queen with a gentle, independent nature. She knows exactly what she likes and is happiest in a home that appreciates her for who she is - a confident girl who enjoys affection on her own terms and doesn't need constant human attention.

When Zara first came into rescue, she was bonded with her sweetheart, Papa, the father of her kittens. Sadly, Papa passed away in January. After taking time to grieve, Zara has adjusted beautifully and is now ready to find a forever home of her own. She would be just as happy as an only cat as she would with a friendly resident cat. Zara still loves being an extra mumma to foster kittens and enjoys the company of other cats, happily playing alongside them when the mood strikes.

Most days you'll find Zara stretched out in a sunny spot or curled up in one of her favourite beds (she has three that she rotates between depending on her mood!) She has a calm, dignified presence, but don't let that fool you. Every now and then, this proper little lady explodes into a fit of zoomies or throws herself into playtime with catnip toys and cardboard boxes, reminding everyone that she still has a wonderfully silly side.

Zara is very food motivated, so breakfast and dinner are the highlights of her day. She'll happily exchange headbutts, pats and her sweet company for a timely meal. She's especially fond of greeting you before food is due and has a funny habit of appearing for affection whenever you head to the bathroom - as if she's appointed herself your official toilet supervisor!

While Zara enjoys pats and companionship, she isn't a cat who likes being picked up or held. Zara prefers to choose when and how she interacts, and once you respect those boundaries, she's an incredibly rewarding companion. She also takes everyday household life in her stride - even the vacuum cleaner is met with little more than a calm stroll in the opposite direction.

Zara would suit someone looking for a cat who is affectionate without being demanding, playful without being over-the-top, and happy to spend time in her own company while still enjoying moments of connection with her people. She truly is a queen! Elegant, independent, full of quiet charm, and occasionally delightfully chaotic when the zoomies take over.
