About Shadow
This stunning female German Shepherd has a story to tell. Shadow came to one of our volunteers in the early hours of the morning with her baby puppies. She actually knocked on the volunteers front screen door wanting safety.
Wandering in a busy western suburb where Shadow intrinsically knew our volunteer would keep her and her six puppies safe.
Shadow was never reclaimed and came into our care with her babies. All six puppies have found loving homes and now it’s Shadows turn. This happy and loving girl is in great health. A big boned girl with a beautiful full black coat and tan paws.
She is a very clean dog in her kennel so we really feel once in her new home she will be house trained.
Currently in care at Willow Tree, NSW with other rescue shepherds it’s now her turn to be loved and become an integral family member.
Shadow will require an experienced German Shepherd owner who will place structure in her life and maintain boundaries to help her develop confidence to assimilate into her new environment.
Shadow is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making her a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet her. Should she, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing her back into our care or helping us rehome her from your home.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give me a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Shadow” and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
