About Sonny
Sonny is a handsome Kelpie looking for an active home that's ready to embrace his clever, playful personality. He will do best with dog-saavy teens and adults who understand working breeds and are committed to his ongoing training and rehabilitation.
Like many enthusiastic Kelpies, Sonny can be excitable and may be a trip hazard at times, so his new family should be steady on their feet and prepared to help him learn appropriate manners. He may be able to live with a suitable female dog following a successful meet-and-greet. A large, secure yard, plenty of enrichment, and regular mental and physical exercise will help him settle into family life.
If you're looking for a fun-loving, intelligent, and devoted companion and are excited to continue the journey with a smart working breed, Sonny has all the makings of a wonderful best friend.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Burwood East site, adoption hours are 10am – 4pm. Walk-ins are welcome, and you can freely walk through our dog, cat and small animal adoption areas.
