About Pepper
Pepper is a desexed male Domestic Shorthair cat available for adoption in Killarney Vale (Central Coast, NSW).
Pepper is a caring, sensitive cat with a knack for knowing when something's not right. He'll come and chat, then settle on your lap until you feel better, patient company in his own quiet way.
He shares an easy bond with his best mate, Flynn, washing him thoroughly, playing chasies, and keeping an eye out for him whenever he's not around.
He suits a calm, adult household where his gentle, easygoing nature can shine.
A little about Pepper:
🐾 A sensitive soul who seems to know when you need company
🐾 Loves a tummy massage and a good brush above all else
🐾 Has his own small voice and loves a little chat
🐾 Washes his best mate Flynn thoroughly, like a doting older sibling
🐾 Shares an easy bond with his best mate, Flynn
Pepper's day starts with a couple of treats and breakfast, then some time watching the world outside and checking the boundaries, a thorough inspection every time. He sleeps for much of the day while you're out, curled up somewhere comfortable.
Evenings bring him back to your side for a chat, a scratch and a massage, settling next to you on the sofa or wherever you're working, before joining you in bed later in the night.
Pepper shows his affection generously: sitting on your lap, head-butting for a scratch session, and making eye contact that feels like he's really listening to every word.
With new faces, he's curious and confident, greeting them and settling in to observe before rubbing against their legs for a scratch, never one to hide away.
Pepper will do best in a calm, adult household where his gentle, easygoing nature is appreciated and his quieter moments are respected, a lover, not a fighter, through and through.
Pepper is happiest going home with Flynn, and that's the outcome his guardian is hoping for, though individual adoptions will also be considered for the right home.
Pepper is easygoing about almost everything, including a bit of good-natured sibling squabbling over attention; it simply doesn't bother him.
Picture Pepper doing a lap of zoomies just to show off how fast he can run, then settling into your lap for a tummy rub and a little chat once he's caught his breath.
Pepper is calm devotion, a caring nature and a voice all his own. Alongside Flynn, he's ready for a home with a lap to spare and someone who'll notice when he needs one.
FAQ
Do Pepper and Flynn need to be adopted together?
Their guardian would love to see them go home together, since it means less stress for both of them. That said, individual adoptions will also be considered, if it means each of them finds the right family.
Is Pepper affectionate?
Very, he loves a lap, a tummy massage and a good scratch session, and he'll let you know exactly when he wants one.
How does Pepper get on with other cats?
Beautifully, he washes Flynn thoroughly and keeps an eye out for him. A little sibling rivalry over attention doesn't bother him at all.
Will Pepper warm up to new people?
Yes, easily. He's curious rather than shy and will come over to say hello in his own time.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
