About Maui
Maui is a very social and gentle male five year old stock coat German Shepherd who is looking for his forever home.
Maui has lived in a family home where he was very much loved and shared his home with young children who adored him, also two cats and two small dogs (Jack Russell’s).
Due to a lifestyle change Maui has to find a new home.
Maui is very loving, is a pleasure to walk on his harness and is not reactive to other dogs on his walks.
Fully house trained he has travelled on boats and has his sea legs.
Maui would benefit from a home who has owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog. Maui must go to an home where he is an integral family member and his new owner ensure they provide him with structure in his life and maintain boundaries to help him develop confidence whilst assimilating into his new environment.
Maui is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making him a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should he, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing him back into our care or helping us rehome him from your home.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give me a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Maui” and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
The rescue group is no longer taking adoption applications for this pet.
