Meet Evie – A Beautiful Soul Looking for Her Forever Home
Some dogs come into rescue looking for a second chance. Evie is looking for the person who will see just how special she truly is.
Originally bred to become a Border Force patrol dog, Evie didn't quite follow the career path that was planned for her—but that's only because she was destined for something even better: a family to call her own.
This beautiful girl has so much love to give. She absolutely adores people and will happily soak up every cuddle, pat and moment of attention you can spare. She's incredibly clever, eager to learn and highly treat motivated. During her behavioural assessment, she learnt new commands very easily. She simply loves having a job to do and making her people proud.
Evie enjoys the company of other dogs and has previously lived with a smaller dog. Like many enthusiastic youngsters, she can become a little overexcited when meeting new canine friends, so she'll need a family committed to helping her learn calm introductions. A confident, playful large dog could make a wonderful companion.
She thinks cats might make fun playmates, but because of her size and enthusiasm, a cat-free home will be the best fit.
Evie has been bred as a working dog, so she's searching for a family who understands that keeping her mind busy is just as important as exercising her body. Training sessions, adventures, enrichment and quality time with her people are exactly what will help this beautiful girl thrive.
Her perfect home would be with adults or a family with teenagers who are excited to continue her training, include her in everyday life, and shower her with the love she deserves.
All Evie asks for is someone who believes in her. Someone who sees beyond her excitement and recognises the loyal, affectionate and wonderfully intelligent girl waiting to shine. In return, she'll give you unwavering love, endless cuddles, and a best friend who will be forever grateful for her second chance.
Could you be the family Evie has been waiting for?

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
