Carlos is an active, intelligent boy who thrives when he has something to do. While kennel life isn't his favourite (who can blame him?), he's dreaming of a family who'll help him leave the shelter behind and show him what home really feels like.

This smart cookie already has lovely manners and genuinely enjoys learning new things-especially when tasty treats are involved! Carlos loves his training sessions, and with his impressive scent drive, he'd absolutely thrive with enrichment activities like scent games, tracking, or nose work to keep his brilliant brain busy.

Carlos is looking for an experienced home that understands and enjoys working breeds and is committed to continuing his training and helping him be the best boy he can be. He'd prefer a home without small children, where he can settle into a predictable routine.

Carlos does have a high prey drive, so he'll need to be the only pet in the home. He's also shown some reactivity towards other dogs while in the kennels, but we suspect the busy shelter environment plays a big part in this. Once he's had time to decompress, he'll benefit from continued positive training to build his confidence and doggy social skills.
