There are cats who enjoy the occasional cuddle.

And then there's Flip.

Flip believes if you're sitting down, your lap belongs to him. If you're lying in bed, he'll curl up on your chest. If you've dared to get under a blanket without inviting him, don't worry... he'll simply wriggle underneath until he's tucked in beside you. Personal space? Flip isn't familiar with the concept.

Sadly, Flip found himself at SCAR when his family, despite loving him dearly, had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender him after their home became unsafe for him. It wasn't because they didn't want him. They wanted him to have the safe, happy life they could no longer provide.

Thankfully, Flip hasn't let that change his beautiful outlook on life.

He's still the same ridiculously affectionate, people-loving boy who's convinced that every day is made better with cuddles.

When he's not busy supervising your relaxation, Flip transforms into a playful little goofball. His absolute favourite game is chasing ping pong balls down the stairs, and he'll happily keep the tournament going for as long as you're willing to throw them. He loves interactive play, but he's equally happy entertaining himself between cuddle sessions.

Then there are the little things you'll fall in love with.

When Flip gets excited to see you, his tail curls over his back, the fur along his spine pops into the tiniest happy mohawk, and he lets out the sweetest little chirp as he trots over to say hello. Call his name while holding a treat, and he'll come running like he's been practising for years.

Life with Flip does come with two warnings.

Firstly, he's convinced he should accompany you everywhere, so expect him to weave enthusiastically between your legs as your adorable little shadow.

Secondly, once he falls asleep in your lap, you'll find yourself cancelling your plans because moving him simply isn't an option.

Flip doesn't just want a home.

He wants his person.

Someone to curl up beside every evening, greet with his happy chirps each morning, and remind every single day that love sometimes comes wrapped in whiskers, a tiny mohawk, and an unstoppable purr.
