About Blizzard 🤍
Meet Blizzard! 🤍
With her stunning looks and gentle nature, Blizzard is a little beauty who is just waiting for the right person to help her blossom. She’s a shy girl who likes to take life at her own pace, so she’ll thrive in a calm, patient home that understands that trust can’t be rushed.
Once Blizzard starts to feel safe, her playful kitten side comes bursting out! She absolutely adores her little mouse toys and can happily entertain herself for ages. Treat time is another favourite—she’ll often bat them around like she’s caught a bug before finally deciding to eat them. She also loves sitting by the window watching the birds and curling up in cosy hideaways like boxes or cave beds where she can keep an eye on the world while feeling secure.
Blizzard is very independent and values her personal space. She isn’t a cat who wants constant pats or cuddles just yet, but she’s slowly becoming curious, often stopping to sniff an outstretched hand when approached gently. She’s looking for someone who will let her set the pace and celebrate the little milestones along the way.
She’s completely litter trained, isn’t fussy with food, doesn’t scratch furniture (unless her toy mouse disappears underneath it!) and happily entertains herself with her favourite toys.
Blizzard can happily live with other respectful cats who understand boundaries, but she’s equally likely to thrive as an only cat, provided she has plenty of enrichment, toys, window perches and treat games to keep her busy.
If you’re the kind of person who understands that the most rewarding relationships are built on patience and trust, Blizzard may just be the perfect companion. Watching this sweet girl gain confidence and let her personality shine will be worth every moment.
Medical notes
Blizzard is currently taking daily clomipramine to assist with anxiety and adjusting to her new indoor environment among humans after transitioning from life on the streets.
Blizzard is currently receiving this medication and it is intended to be gradually weaned in the medium term as she continues to adjust.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
