Ruby is a gorgeous, fluffy girl with a personality every bit as soft as her beautiful coat. She absolutely adores her people and has the happiest tail wag when they come home, making every greeting feel extra special. Whether she's curled up beside you on the couch for a cuddle or proudly carrying around one of her beloved toys, Ruby is happiest when she's sharing life's simple moments with her family.

Ruby would be equally happy in a house or an apartment, provided she gets her daily walks and plenty of opportunities to stop and sniff the world around her. Exploring at her own pace is one of her favourite things, and once she's had her outdoor adventures, she's more than ready to settle in for some quality relaxation time.

She has lived happily alongside another Greyhound and would enjoy having a canine companion, but she's just as capable of thriving as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention. Ruby enjoys being with her people but has also shown she can happily spend around four hours on her own. With her new family, she can continue building up to longer periods of alone time at a pace that sets her up for success.

On walks, Ruby may start off with a little enthusiasm, but she soon settles into a lovely pace and is content to stroll alongside you. She gets along well with larger dogs, particularly fellow Greyhounds. As she continues her training, she'll do best in a home without small dogs, cats, or other small animals.

Ruby is still learning a few household manners, including some basic commands and understanding which items are toys and which are off limits. She's a clever girl who enjoys engaging with her people, and with consistency and positive guidance, she's sure to keep making wonderful progress.

Ruby's excitement for life is infectious, and she can be quite bouncy when she's happy. For that reason, she'd be best suited to a home with older children who can appreciate her playful enthusiasm.
