Hello, my name is Lucy.

I love having a name and I come running when I hear it because I've learned to trust the people who call me by my name. I never had a name before. And I didn't trust anyone either. My life was hard and I was often hungry. I can't believe how different it is now since Found Hearts rescued me.

I'm about 18 months old but i have just learnt to play and trust people. My coat is pretty with lots of colours and now that I get lots to eat, it's become silky soft and smooth too. I love to be patted and i love to sleep on the bed. I love it when toes wiggle under the covers and I pounce on them, it's such fun.

I'm an expert at my litter tray and I've never made a mess. I do take time to trust new people so I'm looking for an understanding family or person. I am very good at getting on with other cats but I've not met a dog before.

I'm also confident outside in a safe fenced area. I love to help at the clothes line when you put the washing out, I love to hunt grasshoppers in the vegie garden and mice in the shed where the chooks live. I haven't actually caught one yet because I have to go inside the house at night when they come out to play. I love to hide in my tunnel and ambush people who walk past. Sometimes I forget how fragile human skin is but I'm learning to ambush more gently. It's such fun I get excited and forget.

I am very grateful for the new start I've been given in life. If you think you would like to meet me, I would do my best to be your faithful cat for the rest of my life.
