Your new best friend, professional cuddle consultant, and quite possibly the most loving dog you'll ever meet.

Don't let his impressive size fool you, Ozark is absolutely convinced he's a lap dog, and honestly, who's going to tell him otherwise? Like every Great Dane worth their salt, he's perfected the full-body lean, happily melting into you so you can both share the weight of the day. (Being this handsome is exhausting, after all.)

Ozark is the very definition of a gentle giant. He adores people and is happiest wandering over for soft pats, leaning into cuddles, and simply being wherever you are. With his gangly giraffe legs, oversized paws, and delightfully goofy personality, he's endlessly entertaining whether he's clumsily plodding around the house or snoring beside you during movie night.

He's fully toilet trained and politely waits by the door when nature calls. He walks beautifully on lead, travels brilliantly in the car, and settles easily wherever his people happen to be.

Being a young Great Dane mix, Ozark still has a few puppy moments. When he spots another dog, he can't help but do a few enthusiastic little bouncy jumps, he just assumes every dog is a potential best friend waiting to have their face smooshed.

🏡 Ideal Home
Ozark is a people dog through and through. He doesn't demand constant entertainment, but he loves simply being near his family. If you're home more often than not, he'll happily snooze the day away beside you, occasionally checking in for a cuddle before returning to his very important napping schedule. Ideally his new family have some experience with giant breeds.

He can manage short periods on his own, but his happiest place is wherever his humans are. A securely fenced backyard would be ideal, giving him room to stretch those long legs, enjoy the occasional puppy zoomie, and have easy access to grass for toileting.

⚡ Energy Level
Despite his size, Ozark is more couch potato than endurance athlete. A couple of leisurely 10–20 minute walks each day, plenty of opportunities to stop and sniff absolutely everything, and he's ready for another nap.

He's still figuring out the finer points of fetch. His preferred version involves retrieving the toy exactly once before proudly carrying it back to his bed for a satisfying chew.

👶 Suitability with Children
Ozark has the sweetest, gentlest nature, but he is a *very* big boy with a giant head and wonderfully clumsy limbs. While he'd never intentionally knock anyone over, little children could easily find themselves accidentally bowled over during one of his enthusiastic moments.

He's already made great friends with the nine-year-old neighbour, and they're often found hanging out together, playing ball or simply relaxing in each other's company. A home with older, dog-savvy children would suit him beautifully.

🐾 Suitability with Other Animals
Dogs: Ozark hasn't lived with another dog but absolutely loves seeing them. His wagging tail and excited puppy hops are all about making friends, he sometimes just forgets quite how enormous he is. Continued positive socialisation will help him learn that not every introduction needs to be quite so enthusiastic.
Cats: Not tested.

All this beautiful boy wants is a family to adore, people to nap beside, and someone willing to accept that personal space is simply not part of this big boys vocabulary. In return, he'll give you every ounce of love he has—and trust us, that's a lot. 🤍
