About Payton
Beautiful gentle Payton urgently seeking foster or forever home due to owner loosing 🏠Rescue covers all vet care if required.
Payton was rescued six years ago after spending the first part of her life tied outside on a rope.
Since being rescued, she has transformed into an affectionate, people-oriented indoor dog who absolutely adores comfort, routine, and being close to her humans.
She is best described as a big cuddly floof with a huge personality, endless sass, and the funniest side-eye expressions.
Payton loves rainy-day naps, beach trips where she can chase waves, and being tucked up inside with her own pillow and blanket on the bed. She is very much an indoor companion dog and thrives when she feels included as part of the family.
Payton is calm, affectionate, and very people-focused. She enjoys human company more than anything and bonds deeply with the people she trusts.
While she can be a little stubborn and dramatic at times (especially if dinner is running late), she is a very loving and gentle girl.
Payton is a couch potato 🥔
Although she hasn’t had extensive socialisation with other dogs, she has successfully walked with another Staffy in the past and has never caused issues at the vet. She would likely do best either as the only dog or with calm, slow introductions to suitable dogs.
Payton is fully house trained and clearly communicates when she needs to go outside. She enjoys walks and beach outings, though due to her build and age she is best suited to shorter walks of around 20–30 minutes.
Payton does experience some separation anxiety and thrives on routine and reassurance. She has responded really well to having her own safe space and calming aids such as hemp products when left alone.
Payton would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue being a spoiled indoor companion with plenty of affection, comfort, and stability. She is older physically but still very young at heart and has an enormous amount of love to give.
Her owner is making the heartbreaking decision to rehome her purely due to unavoidable housing and financial circumstances during the current rental crisis, and wants nothing more than to ensure Payton finds a safe, stable, and loving forever home where she will continue to be cherished.
