Muffy

Muffy is a gorgeous, goofy young Border Collie mix who is cuddly, playful and so, so affectionate. 

She is a sensitive pup who received minimal handling prior to coming into care, but with the support of her foster carer, she’s growing braver and more comfortable every day, and it’s been lovely to watch her silly side slowly begin to come out.



Muffy is looking for a calm, supportive home where she can continue to build her confidence. A confident, well-balanced adult male dog who wouldn’t mind a playful puppy friend is a must for her, and someone who is home often to provide companionship and guidance would be ideal.


As a working-breed mix with medium energy levels, Muffy needs more than simply a backyard or another dog for company. She needs a family who is genuinely excited to raise a puppy and has the time to provide positive socialisation, daily enrichment, training, structure and plenty of opportunities to experience the world at her own pace.
She would suit someone with working-breed experience, or someone who is willing to learn alongside her.

She’s been lovely with other dogs and is great with cats. She enjoys playing chase and wrestling with her foster siblings who are a similar size or larger. She is learning to be gentle with smaller dogs, although her playful puppy antics can still be a little full-on. Her new home needs another desexed male dog.

Muffy has met and been gentle with children of all ages, but young children and their unpredictable movements can be intimidating for her. For this reason, she is looking for a home with *no children under 12.*

Muffy loves being around her people and is always up for cuddles, belly rubs, play and a little puppy mischief - like our favourite game, “Find where Muffy has hidden the gumboots”. She also loves carrying things around while she explores and plays, especially her leash!

Her care so far has focused on expanding her social circle, building confidence, toilet training, establishing routine and gradually introducing new experiences. She is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, has started recall training and has developed solid foundations to build on.
She’s a clever girl who will thrive with continued, consistent training.



Muffy’s foster carer loves her so much they’d keep her themselves if they could - and when you meet her, it’s easy to see why.

We can’t wait to see her continue to blossom in her new home.
