Jenny

Jenny is the kind of dog who is easy to love. She's friendly, affectionate and has a lovely, gentle nature that makes her an easy companion to have around. She enjoys a play when she's in the mood, but she's equally happy relaxing with her people and simply being part of family life.

Jenny has been wonderful with cats and adores human company. She forms close bonds with her family and enjoys being included in whatever they're doing. She can be left alone for short periods, although she does prefer not to spend long hours by herself.

Jenny has been very social and playful with all the dogs at our sanctuary and would happily live with other dogs but we're looking for a home that won't expect her to enjoy interacting with every dog she meets. She'll do best with thoughtful introductions and owners who are happy to advocate for her if she'd rather keep walking.

Despite her happy, joyful and affectionate nature it does seem Jenny may have had some negative experiences in her past and needs a little work in the following areas. She can be fearful of people entering the home and may bark until she can be reassured that they are friendly. She is nervous of leads and collars being attached but with some patience to get her clipped onto a lead (and a bit of bribery in the form of treats) she walks well on lead. Also Jenny's toilet training can regress when she is feeling unsafe so will need a gentle human willing to celebrate the wins and overlook the mistakes.
