About Trevor
๐พ๐๐พTrevor๐พ๐๐พ
Hi! My name is Trevor,
I'm a Neo Mastiff x English Mastiff looking for my furever home.
I'm a large, gangly boy, still full of puppy energy and apparently don't quite realise my size - this is only an issue with zoomies, when chasing a ball or when trying to sleep on a armchair built for someone smaller than I...
I have received some great training and know 'sit', 'leave it, 'stay' , 'gentle' and 'no'.
I walk fairly well on a lead - although I do sometimes pull a bit...we are working on this, and on my recall
My foster mum (FM) tells me I have such a beautiful nature. I'm a gentle giant and have been wonderful with the small children in my foster home... I'm a quick learner and have lovely manners - I don't snatch food and am incredibly delicate when taking treats. I also wait politely for my dinner bowl to be placed and then eat when FM says 'good boy'. I am way past the chewing stage, but do love a good squeaky toy, I'm also happy to chew on stuffed-animal dog toys, but have never considered touching any of the children's toys or shoes even though they are everywhere...
FM says I will be a great watch dog because I am very alert, and will give a quiet growl if I hear a noise that I am unsure of - at least until FM tells me it's ok, then I'll happily go back to sleep and snow. I rarely bark.
I'm best suited to a home with a good-sized yard and strong fences as I'm exceptionally agile - whilst I have not attempted jumping any fences I did make my way with one leap into the trampoline to see what all the fuss and laughter was about - it was the best fun! But FM says I'm not allowed to play that game any more... ๐ I have been so good with the small children (a 2yo and 6yo) and have performed acrobatics to avoid knocking them over whilst running around the back yard - kids can be so unpredictable at times. ๐คช
FM says it's incredibly important for you to know that if you have an indoor water bowl you WILL need to keep the mop handy - she thinks after drinking I can still carry about a litre of water in my jowls!
I need someone willing to take me for a daily walks, play ball continue my training and allow me to sleep on the couch whilst they watch tv in the evenings.
I prefer to sleep on my own dog-bed on the floor in FM's room - and whilst I was unsettled the first night I have slept right through every night since - I am well and truly toilet trained and use the doggy door to come and go as I please.
I would love to have an energetic fur-friend to play with. At the moment I have a 4yo Groodle foster-sister, she can barely keep up with me and growls and snaps when she's had enough; I'm almost twice her size but have never shown any aggression whatsover and respect her choice when she's done with playing by backing up real fast when she's cross - I'm a little bit afraid of her... FM sometimes calls me Doofus - I'm sure it's a term of endearment ๐
I will flourish with an adopter who has the time, commitment, and breed experience to continue my training and help me maximise my many talents and reach my full potential.
I will reward you with love devotion, snuggles, slobbery kisses and by being your loyal shadow forever.
Are you the person for me?๐๐๐
