Ruth is a beautiful torbie girl with a sweetheart and just a little bit of sass. She came into our care as a stray, so unfortunately, we don't know much about her past or how she feels about other pets.

A little shy when meeting new people, Ruth may let out a cautious hiss to let you know she's feeling unsure-but don't let that fool you. Once she realizes you're there to be kind, she'll happily lean into gentle pats, accept a tasty treat and start to relax. And when Ruth is really feeling comfortable? The biscuits come out! 🐾🥐 There's nothing quite like seeing those little paws kneading away as she settles in and enjoys herself. It's her adorable way of showing you that she's feeling safe and happy.

Ruth is looking for a patient family who will give her the time and space to settle in and let her confidence grow. Her occasional hiss or grumble is simply her way of saying she's not quite sure about something-not that she doesn't want to be loved. Because of her sensitive nature and tendency to be a little opinionated when she's unsure, Ruth would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older, cat-savvy children who understand feline boundaries.
