🐾 Meet Skye – Clever, Cheeky and Ready for Adventure 🐾

Skye is a young girl with a bright mind, a playful spirit and a real zest for life. She's the kind of dog who loves having a job to do and thrives when she's included as part of the family. Whether it's a game of tug, chasing a flirt pole, exploring somewhere new or simply hanging out with her people, Skye is happiest when she's engaged and involved.

Sadly, Skye is looking for a new home due to a change in her owner's circumstances. She has been lovingly trained and given an incredible foundation, and she's now ready to find a family who will continue helping her grow into the amazing adult dog she's becoming.

Skye is wonderfully social with people. She can be a little shy when meeting someone new and prefers to make the first move herself, but give her a little time and she'll soon transform into a total cuddle-bunny. She enjoys human company and loves being close to her people, although she's also happy to spend a few hours on her own while you're at work.

True to her age, Skye is still going through adolescence, so she's cheeky, curious and always looking for ways to entertain herself. She's an intelligent little problem solver who quickly works out how things work—including, occasionally, how to outsmart her humans! She enjoys chewing appropriate toys, loves to explore, and if a gate or door is left open she'll happily head off on her own little adventure, so a secure home and mindful owners are a must.

Skye has excellent house manners and is fully toilet trained, politely sitting by the door when she needs to go outside. She's crate trained, knows a range of cues including "Kennel", "Let's Go", "Ta", "Inside", "Outside" and "Toilet", and has been taught clear boundaries and routines. She'll even test those boundaries now and then—after all, she is still a teenager—but she's eager to learn and responds well to consistent guidance.

When it comes to other dogs, Skye is still developing her social skills. She enjoys meeting friendly dogs and is learning how to read their body language and interact appropriately. Because she's still maturing, she'll benefit from owners who continue to provide positive, well-managed social experiences.

Skye has also been introduced to cats and has shown curiosity without chasing. However, the cats she has met have been calm and confident, so it's unknown how she would respond if a cat were to run. For this reason, any home with cats should be experienced in managing introductions and committed to supervising interactions while everyone settles in.

Skye has also shown herself to be gentle and respectful around young children, although like any young dog she may try her luck if food is left within reach! She's not possessive around food or toys and has shown no resource guarding.
Exercise for Skye is as much about using her brain as it is burning physical energy. She loves interactive games, especially tug and flirt pole sessions, and just a couple of short play sessions each day help keep her happy and fulfilled. More than endless walks, Skye is looking for people who will enjoy training with her, playing with her and making her part of everyday life.

Skye would suit an active home that appreciates the joy of a clever young dog. She isn't looking for perfection—just people who understand that adolescence is a phase, who will laugh at her cheeky moments, continue the fantastic training she's already received, and enjoy watching her mature into an exceptional lifelong companion.
