At just 1 year old, Rafiki is everything you'd expect from a young working-breed dog: incredibly smart, endlessly energetic and always looking for his next mission. If you don't give him a job, don't worry-he'll happily invent one himself. (You may not love the job he chooses.)

This handsome guy is looking for an active home that understands working breeds and is ready to keep both his legs and his brain busy. Daily exercise is a must, but so are training sessions, enrichment games, puzzle toys and anything else that lets him show off his impressive intellect. Rafiki doesn't just want to learn-he wants a PhD in Being the Best Dog Ever.

He could happily live in a family home with older, dog-savvy kids who are ready for a four-legged whirlwind of fun. Rafiki would also love a canine buddy to wrestle, romp and burn off some of that famous Kelpie enthusiasm.

In return, you'll get a loyal, hilarious companion who's always ready for the next adventure, whether that's hiking, running, learning new tricks or enthusiastically supervising absolutely everything you do.
