About Penguin
Introducing Penguin (AKA Charlie)
Penguin, affectionately known as Charlie by his foster carer is an adorable tuxedo kitten with a gentle loving nature. Whatever you choose to call him, one thing is certain – this sweet boy is sure to steal your heart.
Penguin can be a little shy when meeting new people for the first time but it doesn't take long for him to warm up. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes an affectionate cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up on your lap for a snuggle.
The quickest way to Penguin's heart is through playtime! He loves chasing string toys, pouncing on fluffy toys and batting ping pong balls around the house. He also enjoys playing with his siblings and interacting with people, making him a delightful companion.
While Penguin doesn't appear to be a great fan of dogs, he is tolerant of his foster carer's small dog. He would be happiest in a home that understands he may need a little time to settle if there is a dog in the household.
If you would like to meet Penguin with a view to adopting him, please complete the online adoption application under his profile. If your application is successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to arrange a meet and greet.
Penguin is currently in foster care in Glenbrook.
Please do not contact Kemps Creek Shelter regarding Penguin. All adoption enquiries are managed by the AWL Western Suburbs Branch.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
