About Nimzo
Nimzo is a desexed male Domestic Short Hair available for adoption in Kedron (Brisbane, QLD).
Nimzo is a cat who wears his heart on his sleeve. Extraverted, social and endlessly affectionate, he makes sure you always know exactly how loved you are.
He's just as easy around new faces as familiar ones. Curious and calm with visitors, he likes to suss out who's arrived, then get straight into getting to know them.
Playful by day and a devoted cuddler by night, Nimzo brings a full, easy warmth to every part of his day.
A little about Nimzo:
🐾 Adores cat tunnels and turns every play session into an adventure
🐾 Lights up at the sight of birds through the window, a favourite pastime
🐾 Greets the alarm each morning with an eager hop onto your chest
🐾 Melts into slow blinks and full-body cuddles on your lap or chest
🐾 Sleeps most soundly of all when he can hold your hand through the night
Nimzo's mornings start with enthusiasm. He's often first to greet the day, hopping up for attention the moment the alarm goes off.
Afternoons are quieter, with plenty of window time spent watching the birds outside. Playtime is a daily highlight, twice a day, and he makes sure you never forget.
Evenings wind down with his favourite ritual, settling in for a cuddle, paw in hand, as the night gets cold.
Affection is Nimzo's love language. Slow blinks, lap cuddles, and following you from room to room - he wants to be wherever you are. New people don't faze him either: he introduces himself fast and wins them over just as quickly.
Nimzo will flourish as an indoor-only cat, the centre of his own household, with a guardian who loves having him closely involved in daily life. He'll suit someone who enjoys a highly social, expressive companion, and who's ready to make him the main event.
Picture him claiming the end of the bed the moment you sit down to read, paw reaching over until he's found your hand. Nearby, a tunnel waits for its next adventure once the cuddles are done.
Nimzo is ready to be the centre of someone's world: the cat who greets the alarm, holds your hand through the night, and makes sure you always know you're loved.
FAQ
Does Nimzo need to be an indoor-only cat?
Yes, and he thrives with it. Cat tunnels, bird watching and daily play give him everything he needs, so an indoor life keeps him safe and entertained.
Is Nimzo good with new people?
Wonderfully so. He's curious and calm around visitors and makes friends fast, so introductions are never a worry.
How much attention does Nimzo need?
He loves being involved in everything you do, from morning cuddles to evening play, so he'll suit a guardian who enjoys having a cat close by.
Medical notes
Nimzo is in good general health. He previously had an episode of urinary crystals as a result of stress-related bladder inflammation, but this is now being effectively managed with a switch to a urinary support diet.
His complete patient history is on file and ready to share with his new guardian's vet. For background reading on urinary health in cats, this Veterinary Partner overview is a helpful starting point.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
