Shiitake is bold, incredibly curious, and has absolutely zero fear (even the vacuum doesn't phase her!). 🦁 As a high-energy, independent explorer, she is always on a mission. Her absolute favourite thing? EVERYTHING. Tunnels, balls, rattles, and wand toys—if it exists, Shiitake will play with it! 🧸💨
🐱 Friends, Kids & Cuddles
Other Cats: She loves her feline friends and would thrive being adopted with a sibling or into a home with another playful cat to keep up with her energy. 🐾
Kids: Absolutely brilliant with children! She loves the extra playmates. 🧒👧
Dogs: Untested, but given her confident nature, she'd likely adapt well with the right introduction.
The Wind-Down: After a hard day’s play, Shiitake transforms into a total sweetheart. She loves nothing more than a warm lap, head bops, back scratches, and a good snuggle. 🛋️❤️

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
