Mouse is a gentle, sweet-natured mare with a soft, kind presence that’s hard not to fall in love with. She’s the type to quietly keep you company, enjoying the simple moments and bringing a lovely calm energy wherever she goes… with the occasional burst of silliness! Mouse has a funny, affectionate side too—she’s quite partial to giving your arm a curious lick, just to remind you she’s there and keeping things light-hearted.

She handles beautifully for the vet and farrier, making her a lovely, low-fuss companion to have around. While she can feel a little unsure during dental work anf floating, she will benefit from patient, consistent handling to help build her confidence in this area.

When it comes to other horses, Mouse can be a little choosy with her friendship circle. She has lived with both mares and geldings, but prefers calm, well-mannered companions and slow introductions so she can feel safe and settled. Around food, she can be a touch protective, and with unfamiliar horses she may show a bit of sass or bossy behaviour—so she’ll do best in a home that understands her need for space and takes introductions at her pace. With the right match, she enjoys having a companion by her side.

Best suited as a companion horse, Mouse would love a home with someone who has some horse experience and can continue to support her confidence. She’s still learning that grooming can be enjoyable, currently preferring a dry brush while finding baths a bit overwhelming, but with patience and kindness, she’s sure to keep gaining trust.
