About Poppy
Poppy is a desexed female Domestic Medium Hair cat available for adoption in Holroyd (Western Sydney, NSW).
Poppy has a genuine sense of comedy. A delivered box, the crinkle of a treat packet, an unremarkable moment, she'll turn any of it into a full production worth watching.
She's warm and social, quick with a head-butt or a slow, sleepy blink to let you know she's completely at ease. Independent and playful too, she's just as happy entertaining herself as putting on a show for you.
A little about Poppy:
🐾 Adores a cardboard box more than any store-bought toy
🐾 Keeps up a running commentary of chirps and chats
🐾 Loves showing off her latest catch or favourite toy
🐾 Thrives as the only cat, with all the attention to herself
🐾 Spends a good chunk of the day soaking up sun outside
Poppy's days follow a happy rhythm. Breakfast comes with an audience, she likes to be watched while she eats, a small ritual that says a lot about her confident, people-loving nature. From there she heads outside to explore, before an afternoon nap and an evening play session.
Her affection shows up in specific, deliberate ways: a head-butt when she wants attention, a slow blink from across the room, a steady stream of chat throughout the day. It's warmth offered on her terms, and it's real.
New faces get the same easy welcome. Poppy isn't shy, she'll happily wander over to say hello, just with an unhurried air while she gets her bearings.
A calm, adult household is where she thrives best, especially as the only cat. Without another cat to share her space, Poppy gets to be fully herself: playful, chatty and endlessly entertaining. Secure outdoor access is a big plus, giving her a patch of territory that's entirely hers.
Picture Poppy claiming the sunniest spot in the yard for an afternoon stretch, then trotting inside with a toy in her mouth, ready to show you the goods. There's a little theatre to her day, and she loves having someone there to appreciate it.
Poppy has plenty of personality and just as much love to give the right person. Come meet the household comedian who's ready to make things funnier, and warmer, from day one.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
