Meet Nelson
If you’re looking for a kitten with personality plus, Nelson is your boy!
This handsome ginger lad is full of confidence, curiosity and classic ginger-cat attitude. He’s an independent little guy who’s just as happy entertaining himself as he is playing with his feline friends. When the zoomies are over, he’s perfectly content to chill out on his own, with other cats, with the dogs, or simply near his humans.
Nelson enjoys a lap pat—but on his terms! He’s not quite convinced about forced cuddles yet, although he’s improving every day and learning that affection isn’t so bad after all.
As a typical energetic kitten, Nelson loves rough-and-tumble play, which can occasionally involve a few enthusiastic claws. For this reason, he’d be best suited to a home with older children who understand kitten behaviour.
He absolutely thrives with other cats and would love a feline companion to wrestle, chase and snuggle with. He’s also completely comfortable around dogs of all sizes, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household.
And let’s not forget those looks! Nelson’s stunning ginger coat is absolutely beautiful, with rich colouring that makes him impossible to miss.
If you’re after a fun-loving, confident little character who’ll keep you laughing every day, Nelson is ready to find his forever family.

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
