About John
John is a border collie blend who arrived into care with his 5 siblings, prior to coming to us he hadn't been handled much.
This sweet little boy is a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe and comfortable, he's all love, affection, and cuddles. John may be timid at first, but beneath that cautious exterior is a gentle soul who just wants to be close to his people.
Toys aren't really his thing, but food and treats are definitely the way to his heart! He's also doing well on his lead and enjoys getting out and exploring the world at his own pace.
John would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to show him the ropes, and with someone who can give him plenty of companionship and reassurance while he continues to build his confidence.
His toilet training is coming along nicely, and he's improving every day.
The happiest we've seen John is when he is curled up with his siblings, on the couch beside his people, watching TV and enjoying all the comforts of home. ❤️
If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion who just needs a little time to blossom, John could be the perfect addition to your family.
As with all puppies, we recommend training to make him the best version of himself and for future families to expect the usual puppy shenanigans (expect socks and shoes to be relocated from time to time!)
John requires the following in his new home:
- Another desexed confident dog living in the home.
- A secure fenced yard.
- Patient family that will continue his training with manners, lead walking and toilet training.
- To have the option to be inside when his people are home and to sleep of a night.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis. We assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animals needs.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home, please send us a detailed email with some information about the people and any other animals in your home, as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteers who run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home must attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a fully refundable 2 week trial period. If you ever find yourself unable to care for, or keep your pet, please contact us and they will come back into our care, or we will do our best to assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
