Medical notes
This sweet girl came to BARC with an old break in her left back leg that never healed properly. As a result, the leg is about 3 cm shorter than it should be, which is why she has a bit of a limp and an unusual gait.
The injury is long-standing and she's clearly learned to adapt to it, but it will likely need ongoing management in the future. Options could include specialist surgery, amputation, or simply managing her comfort with medication and monitoring, depending on what is best for her and her future family.
The good news is that apart from her wonky leg, she's in great health. She's bright, happy, and doesn't let her injury stop her from enjoying life.
