🐾 Foster to Adopt – Bear 🐾

Bear is a 2 year 8 month old male Rottweiler searching for a committed, experienced family through our Foster-to-Adopt program.

Bear is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves people and enjoys being involved in family life. He has lived with children and has proven to be gentle, playful and tolerant around them. He is house-trained, travels well in the car, knows his basic obedience commands and enjoys walks, toys and spending time with his people.

Bear has completed obedience and agility training and responds well to commands including sit, stay, down, come, leave it, drop it, wait and shake. Like many young Rottweilers, he will benefit from ongoing training and clear, consistent leadership.

Bear is best suited to an experienced home, as he has recently shown reactivity towards some dogs. While he has never bitten a person or another animal, he can be selective with dogs depending on the environment and may become possessive of toys around other dogs. We are looking for adopters who are committed to continuing his training and setting him up for success.

• Experienced with large or guardian breeds.

• A family committed to ongoing training and enrichment.
• Secure fencing and plenty of love.

Bear has lived with cats previously, although due to his size and playful nature, a confident, dog-savvy cat would be most appropriate if cats are present.

Bear is a loyal, loving dog with enormous potential. With the right guidance, structure and commitment, we believe he will make an exceptional companion.
