Shrimp is the definition of a happy-go-lucky ginger kitten. True to his orange cat reputation, he seems to have just one brain cell—and he uses it exclusively for fun! The whole world is his playground, and he genuinely doesn't believe strangers or danger exist. 🧡😂
Before coming into care, Shrimp was found wandering the streets alone, desperately searching for food while battling a nasty case of cat flu. A kind member of the community took him to the vet, where he received the treatment he needed. Despite being incredibly friendly and clearly well socialised, he had no microchip and no one came looking for him. Thankfully, Kittie Kat Rescue stepped in, and this gorgeous little boy got the second chance he deserved.
During his recovery, Shrimp became famous for climbing onto the laps of anyone sitting on the toilet—whether they invited him or not! Personal space simply isn't something Shrimp believes in. 😹
Now fully recovered, Shrimp spends his days zooming around the house with endless enthusiasm before crashing for a well-earned nap. He absolutely loves wand toys, although once he catches them, he seems to think chewing the string is the real game.
Shrimp is confident, curious, and wonderfully easy-going. He isn't fazed by new people, new places, or new experiences. While he doesn't constantly demand affection, he's more than happy to accept pats whenever he's taking a break from playing and will often perch himself on your lap for a cuddle.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
