Meet Sasha 🐾

Sasha is a beautiful Staffy mix with a heart of gold and a whole lot of love to give. She is very people-oriented and thrives on being close to her humans. Whether it's cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or greeting you with full-body wiggles, Sasha's favourite place is wherever her people are.

Sasha knows her basic commands and is eager to learn, especially when food is involved. Lick mats, snuffle mats, treat balls, and food puzzles are some of her favourite activities and are a great way to keep her entertained and engaged.

Sasha is a medium-energy girl who enjoys her daily walks, playtime, and the occasional burst of zoomies. She does have a tendency to jump up when excited, but she is currently working on this and continues to make progress.

After being attacked by another dog in the past, Sasha developed some anxiety and is still building her confidence. She experiences separation anxiety and can be reactive on leash towards other dogs and sometimes prams. She can also be a little unsure around men initially, but with patience, treats, and positive interactions, she warms up nicely. Sasha has completed a board-and-train program and is continuing her training journey. She is looking for an adopter who understands that training is an ongoing process and is willing to continue helping her build confidence and feel secure.
Sasha has recently completed a two week intensive board and train to help with her confidence. She will have information from the trainer to go home with and ongoing support.

Sasha loves people and affection, but we have not tested her with younger children, so a home with older, dog-savvy children or adults may be the best fit while she continues to grow in confidence.
