About Pickles
š¾š¤ Meet Pickles š¤š¾
Some dogs burst into a room demanding attention.
Pickles quietly waitsā¦
And before you know it, heās quietly stolen your heart. ā¤ļø
At 3 years and 7 months old, this gorgeous Cavoodle has come into care through a private surrender after he and another male dog in the home were no longer getting along. Through absolutely no fault of his own, Pickles is now searching for a forever family who will love him for the gentle, affectionate little soul that he is.
If youāre looking for a dog who wants to be the centre of attentionā¦
Keep scrolling.
If youāre looking for a dog who simply wants to be by your sideā¦
Youāve just found him.
Pickles isnāt loud.
He isnāt demanding.
He isnāt over the top.
Heās happiest simply being close to his people.
Whether youāre working from home, watching television, cooking dinner, or enjoying a quiet afternoon on the couch, Pickles is perfectly content lying nearby on his dog bed, quietly keeping you company.
Heās the kind of dog whose presence simply makes a house feel like home.
Like many dogs, Pickles can be a little unsure when meeting new people. He may bark initially when visitors arrive, but underneath that cautious first impression is an incredibly sweet, gentle boy who simply needs a little time to realise heās safe.
Once he knows youā¦
The walls come down.
The cuddles begin.
And youāll quickly discover a little dog who absolutely adores affection.
In fact, if you happen to stop patting him before heās quite ready, donāt be surprised if a gentle paw lands on your arm as a polite reminder that your job isnāt finished yet. š
Pickles believes pats should continue indefinitely.
Like many happy dogs, Pickles can also get a little excited when his people arrive home and may jump up to say hello. His foster family have been working on this using gentle reminders, and heās already making great progress. Itās simply something his new family will need to continue reinforcing as he settles in.
He walks beautifully on lead and is an absolute pleasure to take out. He happily strolls right beside you and has even learned to sit patiently whenever you stop walking.
When he sees other dogs while out and about, heās more of a gentleman than a social butterfly. Rather than rushing over to say hello, heād much prefer to quietly wait for them to pass before continuing on his way.
He currently lives happily around female dogs and would also be perfectly content as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for himself.
Although Pickles enjoys treats and praise, what really makes him happiest is human affection.
A cuddle.
A scratch behind the ears.
A quiet afternoon beside his favourite person.
Thatās his idea of perfection.
One thing Pickles hasnāt quite worked out yet is toys.
His foster family have introduced them, but he still seems a little unsure what all the fuss is about.
We suspect heāll work it out eventually⦠or perhaps heāll simply decide that cuddles are a much better hobby. ā¤ļø
At night, Pickles sleeps peacefully inside on his dog bed and dreams about another day spent beside the people he loves.
What Pickles is really searching for isnāt a fancy home or endless adventures.
Heās searching for kindness.
Patience.
Gentle hands.
A family who will give him a little time to settle, understand that trust grows with love, and appreciate the quiet companionship he offers in return.
Because once Pickles feels safe, he becomes the most devoted little shadow you could ever wish for.
The kind of dog who never asks for muchā¦
Yet somehow gives absolutely everything.
š¤ If youāre looking for a gentle companion whose greatest wish is simply to love and be loved, Pickles may just be the missing piece your family has been waiting for.
š¾ Gentle soul.
š¤ Professional cuddle collector.
š„¹ Expert shadow.
ā¤ļø Ready to love his forever family.

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email.
